Cumberland 30-606 - Country Home Plan

We decided to use stone instead of brick on the front of the house.

The plan called for a 6′

The plan called for a 6′ front porch, but the homeowners’ association wanted 8′. In order to enlarge the porch, we had to extend the left side of the house 2′. This makes the two bedrooms larger and more comfortable for guests.

 

Our lot is in Biltmore Lake,

Our lot is in Biltmore Lake, NC, just outside Asheville. It is 0.6 acre and wooded. The street behind us is 40 feet below our street; so, we look right over the houses. The view is about 10 miles of the Pisgah National Forest to the Blue Ridge mountains.
