Colonial Perrysburg is spacious and sunny
It's no coincidence that the Perrysburg could blend right in with the colonial houses found along the old Boston Post Road. Guest designer Rod Pfotenhauer of Toledo, Ohio, had those historic homes in mind when he drew up this plan.
Multipaned windows are accented by shutters and large trim-boards. Rooflines end in short overhangs for the most part, except in front of the garage where the roof is extended to create a covered area with lattice on the sides.
Inside, the floorplan is traditional, with three bedrooms upstairs and family living areas on the main floor. All of the rooms are large, and the plan also includes a full basement.
A sunny bay window expands the already spacious kitchen. Counters wrap around two walls, and a central cooktop island provides additional work space. Utilities are nearby, hidden behind folding doors in a passageway to the garage. A small bathroom is equally convenient, tucked between the front entrance and the garage entrance.
In the living room, windows flank a fireplace with a traditional mantel. Chair rails cap panel molding on all four sides of the dining room, creating a classic look.
A landing at the top of the skylit stairs overlooks the kitchen below. The master suite is the largest room in the Perrysburg. Amenities here include a large walk-in closet, dual vanity, and enclosed tub and toilet. The other two bedrooms share the third bathroom.
