Handsome front view hides extra half-story
It's hard to tell from the front. The Ridgecrest looks like a single story home, but in actuality, this contemporary ranch style plan is more like one and one half stories. Two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom are upstairs.
For everyday living, family members will naturally gravitate to the spacious vaulted family room and eating nook. The kitchen is open to both areas allowing cooks and clean up crews to stay plugged into activities, discussions or important television shows. The vaulted dining room has a built in hutch. A see through fireplace separates the two areas while providing a focal point for both.
This kitchen has plenty of counter space. Work space is on both sides of the cooktop built into the long work island. Counters flank the front facing sink, and two more short sections are across the room. Oven and microwave nestle in the corner next to the refrigerator. Storage space is augmented by a step in pantry. Utilities and basement stairs are close by.
Two quiet family living areas are located in the other wing. Pocket doors allow either openness or separation between the living room and the library. Outfitted with an optional wet bar, the library provides additional space for socializing during celebrations and family events. It's also an ideal location for the family computer. The small powder room is handy to everything, including the guest bedroom.
Luxury amenities in the Ridgecrest's master suite include a bright and cozy bayed sitting nook, walk in closet, and a bathroom with dual lavs, soaking (or spa) tub, oversized shower and private toilet.
