Sequoia designed for active family living
Eye catching arched windows add a touch of graceful elegance to the Sequoia, a medium size Mediterranean home designed for active family living. The largest of the arched multi paned windows brightens a wide, high ceilinged living room. Well away from the busy kitchen/family room, the living room is well-suited to more formal entertaining.
Light from three smaller arched windows filters in over the stairwell and a foyer that is open to the second floor ceiling. The open landing upstairs offers a vantage point for overlooking the entryway. A round window near the high ceiling adds yet another dash of visual interest, as well as more light.
Three bedrooms share a large bathroom designed to accommodate three people at once. While one individual uses the water closet, two more can be washing and grooming at the twin vanities tucked into a separate compartment. A laundry chute at the top of the stairs feeds into the utility room, located just a few steps from both the kitchen and the two car garage.
The large kitchen is open on one side to the family room. An eating bar, long enough for four or five stools, divides the two areas. Separation between the sunny eating nook and the dining room is more complete, provided by a pocket door.
A screened porch can be reached from either the dining room or the owners' suite of the Sequoia. In addition, a smaller, informal patio can be entered through either the family room or garage.
