Mid-sized Marcus is open, airy
Families who like to entertain will appreciate the airy openness of the Marcus. This moderately sized home has a spacious great room at its core. In addition, there's a vaulted gathering room, nearly as large.
But the space isn't entirely open. A peninsular fireplace, open on three sides, helps define the boundaries of the great room and gathering room. On dreary days, it serves as a warm, cheery focal point that can be enjoyed from both of these family-oriented spaces, as well as from the kitchen.
In this home, the person washing dishes need never feel isolated. Standing at the kitchen sink, he or she can converse with people sitting at the eating bar, watch goings-on in the gathering room, or study the landscape through large windows facing the rear. Natural light is abundant in the great room as well streaming in through a wall of windows that overlooks the patio.
The elegant high-ceilinged dining room is every bit as bright. Transom windows boost the level of illumination. Utilities are easily accessed from either the kitchen or garage. The pass-through space is outfitted with cabinets, a folding counter and deep sink.
Bedrooms in the Marcus are split for privacy. The master suite is on the right side of the house and secondary bedrooms are on the left. Features in the master suite include a large walk-in closet, and a private bathroom with double vanity, tub, shower, and enclosed toilet. The other two share the main bathroom.
