Split-level Lenox is elegant throughout
Wide arched multipaned windows and a grand brick entry arch give an open, welcoming look to the Lenox. Touches of elegance throughout the home resonate with the sense of grandeur created by the dramatic entrance. This split-level plan is designed for construction on a lot that slopes down from rear to front.
The window-bright, high-ceilinged entry vestibule is at mid level. From there, it's a half-flight down to the garage and a half-flight up to the living area.
Rectangular window bays with arched windows facing the street expand both of the secondary bedrooms. If you like window seats, these nooks make an ideal place for reading, day dreaming or what have you. The bedroom closest to the stairs is in a good location for a home office.
Columns in the elegant master suite mark the arched opening to the private bathroom. Another set of columns frames the large mirror in front of twin lavs. Other luxury touches here include a deep walk-in closet, a large spa tub with glass block outer wall, and a glass partition between tub and shower. A door offers direct access to the patio and deck, particularly handy if you install a hot tub outside.
Dining room and living room flow together in the Lenox. Columned arches mark the boundary between the two areas. A sunny nook brightens the kitchen and an eating bar separates kitchen from living room. The location of the range makes it easy to serve up informal meals at the bar. This counter could also double as a buffet for more formal meals.
