Contemporary Cranston is free flowing
The Cranston is a contemporary home with neo-traditional lines. Brick veneer covering the front corners of the garage creates the appearance of two bold, handsome columns. Brick veneer wainscoting wraps across the front of the home as well, while gently arched windows add gracefulness.
Sidelights and a transom admit an abundance of natural light into the entry, which leads directly into the expansive great room. This exceptionally bright three-in-one living space flows from the great room, through the dining room, and on into the kitchen on the right, with no barriers to mark the boundaries.
Tall windows flank the gas fireplace, and wide sliders allow access to a partially covered patio from the dining area. Another window fronts the kitchen sink. Counters and cabinets wrap around three sides of the large kitchen, which has a long work island at center.
The raised eating bar that runs along the outer edge of the island does at least triple duty beyond its eating function. It's a place to sit while chatting with kitchen workers, and an ideal location for youngsters to receive homework supervision. Thirdly, the raised counter helps keep kitchen clutter somewhat out of the dining areas line of vision.
Laundry appliances are nearby in a large utility room complete with cabinets, a long counter and a deep sink. A powder room is across the hall that links to the Cranston's garage.
The owners' suite fills the entire left side. Luxuries here include a generously sized walk-in closet, plus a bathroom with dual vanity, oversized shower, linen closet and totally private toilet.
Two bedrooms, a bathroom and a deep bonus room are upstairs.
