Chapman has clean look, bright interior
Twin sets of slender wooden posts support the Chapman's front porch, while highlighting the front door's half-round window and right sidelight. Brick veneer wainscoting visually anchors the two-car garage. Round louvered attic vents accent the front-facing gables for a clean neo-traditional front facade.
Inside, a parlor opens out to the left of the entry. A pocket door to the right of that opening leads into the kitchen, which can also be reached by proceeding straight ahead to the great room and turning left at the dining room. A debris-free, gas fireplace nestles into the corner of the great room closest to the entry.
Windows fill most of the rear wall in both the great room and dining room, creating linked gathering spaces as bright as they are spacious. The dining room has another window on the sidewall, and is open to the kitchen. A long, raised eating bar is all that divides these two rooms. Sliding doors in the dining room provide access to a wide rear patio.
Counters wrap around four sides of this roomy, yet step-efficient, kitchen. Dishwasher, range and oven are built in, while the refrigerator fits neatly into an alcove next to the pantry.
The owners' suite has a walk-in closet and a private bathroom with dual vanity and oversized shower. Laundry appliances are centrally placed in a utility room that's easily accessed from the bedrooms, kitchen, and even the garage.
If the owners don't need three bedrooms, the room to the right of the Chapman's entry can be used as a home office, studio, entertainment center, or whatever suits. A door could even be added for direct porch access.
