Update of Traditional Georgian Colonial Home

The Marianna is a visually intriguing update of a traditional Georgian-style colonial home. This was the dominant house style of the English colonies from 1700 until shortly after the Revolutionary War, and many of its exterior design elements hark back to their European roots. You can see it in the shutters, arched openings and trim that accent the front facade's upper windows, door and garage door. It's also visible in the ornamental columns and railings that highlight the second-level covered deck overhanging the garage.

Entering, you step into a lofty two-story foyer, with stairs on the left that lead up into the bright and spacious gathering spaces. On the second level, light washes in through front and side windows. A two-sided gas fireplace can be enjoyed from both the living room and dining room. The covered deck is a great place to catch the afternoon breezes, read a book, or simply relax.

A raised eating bar partially separates the dining room from the well-designed kitchen. Amenities here include: a large walk-in pantry, generous counter space, built-in appliances, broom closet, and direct access to both a rear covered deck and an exterior stairway.

The well-appointed owners' suite is also on this level. Its generously sized bathroom boasts two roomy walk-in closets, a spa tub, oversize shower, and dual vanity.
