	The Hanson's updated colonial exterior segues into a largely contemporary interior. This plan meets the needs of a large family, or one that enjoys hosting large gatherings.
	Colonial styling is visible in the symmetrical front facade, porch columns, keystone arches, central gabled entry, and trio of gabled dormers. But no colonial home ever had an attached three-car garage.

	Windows span most of the rear walls of the spacious informal family room and nook, and both areas are open to the large kitchen. In the family room, a home entertainment center fits into the shelves or cabinets lining the side wall. A fireplace nestles into a corner between cabinets and stairs.
	The nook easily accommodates a large table, along with small potted trees, if desired. A raised eating bar bounds the food preparation area, adding to the kitchen's already ample counter space. Storage space is in good supply, and includes a roomy pantry.
	Laundry appliances are nearby, in a generously sized walk-through utility room that connects with the garage. Soiled garments and bedclothes from the upper floor arrive here effortlessly, via a handy laundry chute.
	Five bedrooms and three bathrooms are upstairs, plus a computer alcove accessible to all. Amenities in the Hanson's master suite include a huge walk-in closet, and bathroom with a soaking tub, twin lavs, and private toilet.
	As a surprise bonus, ladders in the two front bedrooms provide access to a long loft, also accessible from the circular stairway.
