Small House Plans

Most small home plans come in under 2,000 square feet, so they’re perfect for people looking for an economically friendly starter home. Smaller homes are also great for people looking to downsize.
 
Most small home designs feature open floor plans to better accommodate space. Typically, the kitchen flows into the living room and/or the dining room. Most kitchens in a small home design plan will feature a breakfast bar or a nook for an eat in kitchen. A kitchen is an area of the home that you can make up space in, and use for double purpose, whether it’s an open space into the living room, or using it as a dining area too, with an eat-in kitchen concept.
 
Some small home designs feature a mud room, somewhere that’s another entry to the house. Maybe it’s the entrance in from the garage or in from the back yard, but it’s a great room to have to use for storage, shoes, coats. Most utility rooms feature a big sink and room for a washer-dryer.
 
Another common feature of small house plans is that dining rooms open out onto a deck or patio. Incorporating sliding glass doors or French doors out onto a deck or patio can open up your dining room by using the glass windows can make it feel bigger.
