Franklin offers rich variety of living environments
It's not uncommon to find brick used as decorative accent on the front facade of a home. But nowadays, traditional all-brick exteriors are rare.
The Southern colonial-style Franklin is that rarity. Even the lofty portico is supported by statuesque brick columns.
With a little more than 4,800 square feet of space, the Franklin offers a rich variety of living environments, and every room is generously sized. The office to the left of the entry is large enough to allow a professional, such as a lawyer, to work at home.
Children's bedrooms, a guest suite, a game room, and a loft open to the family room, are upstairs. And there's a skylit bonus room over the garage. In the two-story high grand foyer, a polished wooden balustrade sweeps up to a balcony that overlooks the foyer and a family room with a fireplace. Another set of stairs, at the back, feeds down to a hallway adjacent to the utility room, kitchen, a small bathroom and the three-car garage.
The huge country kitchen has every imaginable amenity: eating bar, work island with a vegetable sink, appliance garage, pantry, microwave and ovens, and a vaulted, sun-drenched breakfast room. Coffered ceilings add elegance to the dining room and living room.
Luxury features in the Franklin's master suite include a vaulted ceiling in the sleeping and sitting areas, a see-through fireplace, a service bar, his and hers walk-in closets, a spa tub, and twin basins in the long vanity. French doors in the master suite, family room and breakfast room open onto a wide deck.
