Traditional grace weds modern styling
Arches, inside and out, add grace to the stately Parker, a home designed to suit families with traditional values and modern tastes.
Traditional elements include gabled roof lines and a brick facade, along with lofty brick columns flanking the entry porch. Glass blocks surround the double doors, providing a contemporary touch, as do arched windows and garage doors.
The foyer is unusually opulent for a medium sized home. It has a vaulted ceiling and is bathed in natural light from a high skylight, as well as windows over and around the door. Recessed shelves tucked under the stairwell provide a natural display area. French doors, to the left, open into a den or home office.
Graceful arches support a loft, which overlooks the foyer as well as the living room and dining room. These rooms, which are two steps down from the foyer, are similarly high ceilinged and vaulted. Another step down takes you to the large country kitchen, sunny eating nook, huge family room and wide wrap around deck.
The Parker's luxurious master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling. In the sleeping area, natural light is softly diffused through glass blocks. Twin skylights brighten a master bath complete with a large walk in closet, two basins, and an oversize shower.
