Nostalgic Exterior, Contemporary Interior

At first glance, the Mayberry will remind you of a simple, nostalgic, American farmhouse. But a closer look at the exterior shows some interesting stylistic differences, while an interior walk-through reveals that it's not at all old-fashioned.

Outside, Victorian-style windows add a touch of class, as does raised trim on the four otherwise sleek porch posts. Scalloped-edge shingles fill the upper triangle of the front-facing gable, creating yet another intriguing focal point.

Natural light spills through sidelights into a wide foyer thats open to a window-rich living room on the left. A convenient powder room fills the alcove behind the coat closet.

Double columns mark the living room's opening, and a set of slender windows flank the gas fireplace. Another columned passageway links this room to the dining room, which, in turn, is totally open to a large, well-appointed kitchen. Double doors in the bayed dining room access a side patio.

Noteworthy kitchen features include: built-in appliances, a roomy walk-in pantry, a rectangular work island rimmed on one side by a rounded eating bar, and a built-in phone desk with cookbook shelves above.
