A covered porch spans most of the front facade. If desired, it could be enclosed, providing a safe outdoor play area for toddlers or small dogs.

Entering, you step into a vaulted and spacious open area with the dining room up front and the living room at the rear. The back wall is more windows than walls, here and in the morning room section of the kitchen as well. French doors that flank the fireplace offer patio access, and another French door in the morning room serves the same function.
