It's time for you to participate in our annual "Home from the Heart" survey. If you've ever considered designing the home that's in your heart, here's your chance. The 2009 Home from the Heart Survey makes it fun and easy.

You and other readers are the true experts when it comes to what contemporary families really want. Once we have compiled the responses, we will design a home based on the preferences that emerge. That home will be ready for publication in approximately three months. Last year resulted in the Heartington 10-550, a stately ranch style home.

Our site has been updated to reflect the most popular plans for 2008. This is another way to watch the trends. We have consistent favorites such as the Arden, Palermo, Carrington, and the Tillamook. We've also seen a few come back such as the Winchester and the Kingsley. Of course, new designs have emerged. Plans such as the Stratford, Brightwood, and the Saddlebrook. For the first time a craftsman style garage plan is also included with the Best of 2008.
