Riviera impresses with portico, vaulting
Decorative brick work gives a sense of permanence to the Riviera, a mid-size three-bedroom plan with an impressive entry portico. Foliage, flowers and blooms in the large planter next to the entryway add to the visual appeal.
The entire center of this home is vaulted, creating an airy, spacious feeling that you notice as soon as you step inside. Sidelights flank the front door, suffusing the lofty foyer with light. Both living room and dining room offer sliding door access to a large patio.
Well-isolated from the busier gathering spaces, the living room is quiet and has a wet bar. The dining room is more open, connected to the flat-ceilinged family room by arched openings. Columns mark the boundaries between the formal and informal spaces.
A generously-sized family room complete with fireplace is totally open to a wide kitchen with a nook, work island/eating bar and large walk-in pantry. Utilities are tucked in a pass-through room that connects to the garage. Cabinets and a long folding counter line the wall opposite the appliances.
