Happy Holidays from Associated Designs!
Stucco and stone combine to give a traditional look to the Lafayette, a European home plan. For those that enjoy entertaining the combination of formal and informal rooms throughout the two-story home plan are hard not to fall in love with.
The eye-catching stone veneer covers the central areas of the front of the home and underscores the stuccoed sections as wainscoting. Raised keystone accents one of the large front windows while wooden shutters decorate smaller windows on the left. Front and center, a graceful stone arched opening welcomes you home.
Sidelight and transom windows fill the vaulted entry with natural light. From the entry, arched openings on either side lead you to the formal gathering spaces. To the left is a high-ceilinged dining room, to the right is a vaulted living room adorned with a cozy fireplace. Moving past the staircase that sweeps up towards the second floor, you enter the vaulted family room.
The vaulted family room is spacious and filled with natural light. The open-concept great room has subtle separation of the kitchen, nook and family room. The nook and family room are seamless allowing these rooms to transition to the deck during warm, summer days. The multi-angled eating bar with cabinets above provides more separation between the kitchen and the rest of the great room. In the center of the kitchen is a work island with built-in cooktop. The pantry is not far from the kitchen and is tucked into the pass-through utility room. With access to the side-entry, two car garage the utility room can function as a mud hall to keep those dirty shoes and clothes from passing through the main living area.
The owners' suite can be found on the first floor and is a claim space to retreat to from the busy day-to-day activities of the rest of the home. Luxury features of the owners' room include a large walk-in closet along with a bathroom furnished with a spa tub, oversized shower, and twin sinks. The additional two bedrooms can be found on the second floor. Bridged together by a balcony with views of the family room and entry the second-floor bedrooms share a compartmentalized bathroom with a combination tub/shower and dual vanities.
