Split-Level House Plans

Split level house design plans feature homes that have multiple features on different floors, including entries from separate floors. Some split level homes have drive-in garage features with entrances directly from the garage into the home. Most of these entrances will have stairs up into the home. The main entrances of these home will typically feature a taller set of stairs leading up to the front door.
 
Most split level homes feature dual stair cases inside the main entrance, to go either to the higher level or the lower level. Most designs feature the master suits and bedrooms on the highest floors.
 
Living spaces like living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, nooks or offices exist on the entry floor or main floor. The basements are often garages or storage space, some will feature an extra space for another living room, or kid’s playroom. Some basements will even feature another bedroom on the bottom level with a bathroom for a separated living quarters.
 
Some split level homes have multiple decks and porches to accommodate certain rooms on different floors. If you have an additional living room on the ground floor that opens out onto a terrace, there may be a deck off of the living room or kitchen on the second floor, to make the most of space, and add the value of more outdoor spaces.
